Running In The Past

Living in a designated historic area I guess we should expect the unusual, so it was with mild surprise that we discovered that there was to be a run for charity with a route that would pass right by our front door. The race is sponsored by the Community Foundation of Gaston County with the purpose of raising finds for nonprofit organisations within the community. This is the tenth year of the event and as such has become quite popular with more than 1,300 participants taking part over a 5K course that winds its way through the historic district in which we live. The winner, in case you’re interested, completed the course kn 15:51.

Of course, being the keen amateur photographer that I am I was up bright and early (well, not quite so bright but definitely early) to capture the event in digital splendor. Below are some of the photos that I took and subsequently edited. if you like them then please rate and like this post.
